I have a degree in Computer Information Systems and have over 20 years experience in technology use and instruction.
My professional experiences include working for a large aerospace firm (6 yrs), a computer retailer as their Classroom Specialist (2 yrs), a large non-profit (5 yrs) and most recently, a top school district in Colorado as their webmaster and computer support specialist (7 yrs), and our local school district as a computer technician supporting instructional technology.
In all of these jobs, I had to "use" a computer to get my work done. I understand how frustrating it can be at times - having questions on how to get the computer to do something I know it should do, and having no one able to answer them. I have been in your shoes. My first computer was a Commodore 64. As a "user", I have been working with computers for more than 20 years. My training and support of other users spans equally as long.
I was told by colleagues and friends that I had a natural ability to explain how to use the computer and it's software without all of the "geek speak" they had received from other computer people. I was able to make computers easy for them to understand and use. It became FUN for them to use their machine.
After many requests to offer personal support and coaching in homes and offices, I started Computer Coach in 1994. My business has provided one-on-one, personalized computer coaching and support for over 16 years.
Not only can I can help you with Mac & PC systems, but I am also very knowledgeable in all of their additional components - printers, scanners, cameras, internet access and much more.
